The Luwow is grilling up delicious Tiki Taco meals served with
'dirty rice n beans' and pickles.
Choose from Carnitas(crispy pulled pork), Flame grilled Steak,
Vegetal(in season spiced veg) or Taco del dias(special of the day)
We also serve Quesadillas, Tacizzas and Mulitas

The Lure of The LuWOW
The Luwow Tiki Bar well known for it’s eye-popping cinematic décor, sensational long lost sounds and above all, their amazing tropical cocktails has re-opened it’s doors, this time in a prime spot in Melbourne’s cbd on Little Collins Street.
The Luwow has been recreated by Skipper Josh Collins and Barbara Blaze Collins in a more intimate space, relax in a cosy booth or hang at the bar surrounded by an oasis of colourful kitsch with huge tiki totems, all carved by Skipper Josh himself, leopard lounge suites, a jungle of plants and bamboo and a plethora of insane and wonderfully trashy souvenirs from the South Pacific and beyond. Josh & Barbara have kept to their retro OTT design ethic on this new venture. Their previous bars have been The Luwow(Fitzroy), Hula Bula Bar(Perth), Devilles Pad(Perth), South London Pacific(UK), Tikis(Belgium).
Adding to the retro Tiki vibe of The Luwow the background music is hand curated from the owners’ huge vinyl collection of exotica, rhythm n blues, ska, soul, surf, 60s garage, beat & rock n roll.
The Luwow’s cocktail menu features refined and perfected tiki classics, blending the original vintage recipes with ideas gained from years of mixing cocktails at the former Luwow, Hula Bula Bar and Devilles Pad, Josh Collins’ previous cocktail bars. The Luwow introduces some up to date elements such as organic coconut blossom nectar (packed with goodness) as the main sweetener and biodegradable garnishes making our cocktails unique as well as disposable pasta straws. You’ll often find Skipper Josh himself shaking the drinks behind the bar.
The signature Mai-Tai is the house favourite, a perfect blend of sour, strong and sweet, one is never enough.
The Pain Killer is a robust punch of pineapple, dark rum, coconut and nutmeg.
Bo-Na-Na, a banana daiquiri blended with Plantation 3 Star rum, fresh lime and passion fruit, delicious and more-ish.
Voodoo Volcano is a complex brew served in a bowl to share, complete with a flaming shot.
The Don Zombie is made with full strength aged rums and a home-made syrup of pink grapefruit, star anise, pomegranate and cinnamon not for the faint hearted!
And for those who have not yet appreciated the joys of fine rum…
Waku-Aku, a tropical twist on gin with lime, coconut blossom syrup, pineapple and apricot brandy.
Hurricane Hula is for lovers of aged bourbon, and the frolics of New Orleans’ Mardi Grass. It’s fruity, heady and refreshing.
Proving very popular is a good range of low and no alcohol options for those that like the flavour without the fuddle! Fancy some ‘Saffron and Passion’ or the mega coconutty ‘Spongebob’?

We are adhering to all social distancing and hygiene guidelines.
We ask all our patrons to consider and accept the following conditions prior to entry and booking.
You agree to order and eat a meal alongside your drinks.
You agree to leave your name and a contact number.
You agree to use the provided hand sanitiser.
You agree to appropriately social distance with other groups throughout your stay.
You are well and do not have any symptoms of COVID-19.
You agree to stay seated at your own table. We will provide table service.
Card payments preferred.
You agree to not touch the decor unnecessarily.
You understand you may need to wait if maximum capacity has been reached.
You agree to give us advance notice if you cannot attend your booking.

The LuWOW Cleaning & Hygiene Strategies
Maximum of 20 patrons are permitted at any one time.
Patrons will be seated ensuring appropriate distances are adhered to.
We provide full table service.
Menus are laminated and cleaned and sanitised between each use.
Tables and seats are cleaned and sanitised between each use.
All food and drink prep areas are cleaned and sanitised regularly.
All glasses, plates, cutlery etc are cleaned and sanitised after every use.
Bathrooms and doorhandles are regularly cleaned and sanitised throughout the evening.
Staff regularly clean and sanitise their hands.
Staff are screened prior to a shift and are not permitted to work if unwell.
The LuWOW holds a class 2 food safety certificate.
